*WARM CHRISTMAS MESSAGE TO YOU, MY ESTEEMED FIDAN*
Dear remarkable FIDAn, as the year winds down and Christmas lights up our hearts, we pause to celebrate you.
The spirit of the season compels us to reflect on the values of love, sacrifice, peace, and service, which it represents, and which values also resonate deeply with our work and calling as FIDAns.
By the grace of God, our collective efforts, advocacy, and interventions have continued to strengthen our impact in the FCT and reaffirm our role as a trusted voice for justice and equity in Abuja.
You greatly contributed to these impact by your passion, perseverance, and your quiet sacrifices that often go unseen but never unfelt. You showed up, spoke up, and stood firm for justice, even when it was not convenient for you.
Sometimes, you did this with your presence, and often with your substance, contacts and counsel.
We are reminded that while justice may be serious work, hope is its heartbeat, and together, we kept it alive all year long. May your holidays be filled with rest, renewal, laughter, and the joy of knowing that what we collectively do, truly matters.
You’re greatly valued and appreciated!
Here’s to a Christmas as warm as our sisterhood, and a New Year bold with promise.
Additionally, I hope you will agree that I have earned a little time for some well-deserved rest.
I will be taking a short personal retreat to rest, rejuvenate, and recalibrate for the next lap.
