Recall that Esther Oyeyemi Lawyering posted that President Bola Tinubu on Friday, the 5th of April 2024, approved the appointment of a managing director and two executive directors to serve on the management team of the National Education Loan Fund.
They include
Akintunde Sawyerr as Managing Director, Mr. Frederick Akinfala as Executive
Director, Finance and Administration, and Mr. Mustapha Iyal as Executive
Director, Operations.
The
appointments are “in line with his determination to secure Nigeria’s
socio-economic future by ensuring sustainable higher education and critical
skill development for all Nigerian students and the youth,” said the
President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, in a
statement he signed Friday.

The student loan is an
initiative of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration to provide easy
access to funding for indigent Nigerian students.
It aimed at relieving
vulnerable Nigerian students of the burden of paying their school fees, thus
providing equal rights to education for all.
Only Indigenous Nigerian
students across higher institutions such as universities, polytechnics
and colleges of education and also and vocational institutions are eligible to apply for the
Tinubu student loan 2024.
To qualify for the TINUBU
Student Loan in 2024, you must meet the following requirements:
1.
Be a Nigerian citizen
2.
Possess a JAMB Registration Number
3.
Have a National Identity Number (NIN)
4.
Provide a Bank Verification Number (BVN)
5.
Possess a Matriculation Number or School Registration Number
However, the
application is not opened yet.
