- Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has set up a three-man committee to probe the alleged financial scandal that rocked the state college of education in Ila-Orangun.
- It was gathered that the sum was mismanaged within five months of the inauguration of the council by a third party working within the institution.
- Meanwhile, the chairman of the governing council, in a letter, directed the suspension of the provost over alleged mismanagement of funds.
- However, Governor Adeleke, in a statement issued by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, on Tuesday, set up a three-man panel comprising the Chief of Staff, Kazeem Akinloye, SSG, Teslim Igbalaye, and the Commissioner for Education to investigate the scandal.

- The committee, according to the governor, has two weeks to report their findings.
- “I have read various statements and allegations emanating from Ila Orangun College of Education. I have also been briefed about the conflict between the school management and the college Governing Council. The Committee is hereby directed to call a meeting of both parties.
- “The Committee is to review all issues including questions of financial malpractices within the College system and propose a comprehensive accountability and transparency system.
- “Let me warn that anybody implicated in any wrongdoing, financial mismanagement or corrupt conduct will face heavy sanction. I announce that I will not shield anybody no matter how highly placed”, it reads.
